Capture leads from your website, spreadsheets and your team

Leads reach Clauseloop in three ways: through a form on your website, from a spreadsheet import, and added by hand. Create the form under Lead Sources, decide who receives which leads under Auto Assign Logic, and import or add the rest from Lead Management.

How to put a lead form on your website

  1. Under Tools, open Lead Sources. On Embed Forms, click Create Form.
  2. Enter a Form Name and the website domains allowed to use it. Leave the domains blank to allow any site.
  3. Click Create & Generate Code, copy the code, and paste it into any HTML page, WordPress or Shopify site.
  4. Each lead the form sends is created in Lead Management with the page the visit began on, the referring site and any campaign tags. You see these on the lead under How they found us.

How to route leads to the right salesperson

The rules apply to leads from your website forms, so make sure your form asks for the country.

  1. Open Settings and select Auto Assign Logic.
  2. Next to each sales associate, click Add region and choose the countries or continents they cover. A country rule wins over a continent rule.
  3. A sales associate with no regions receives the leads that no rule matches. With no rules at all, leads are shared out by workload.

How to import a spreadsheet of leads

  1. Open Lead Management and click Import.
  2. Drop in a CSV or Excel file of up to 5 MB, or click Download Template for the expected columns.
  3. Click Analyze File, match your columns to the lead fields, check the preview, and import.

How to add a lead by hand

In Lead Management, click Add Lead, fill in the company, contact, standards and deal value, and click Create Lead. As you type the company name or email, the form warns you if a similar lead already exists, so the same company is not entered twice.

Frequently asked questions

Does a web lead get follow-up emails automatically?

Yes. A lead from your website starts a scheduled series of follow-up emails, which stops when the lead is won or dumped. An admin can switch these emails off, like every other automation, under Settings → Automation.
