Track certificate expiry and run the renewal

Expiry & Renewal lists every client certificate by how soon it expires, from the dates recorded when certifications were approved. Run the recertification on the client’s project with Switch to Renewal, a shorter workflow where the client re-supplies evidence, and click Renew to record the new expiry date.

How to see what is expiring

Under Monitoring, open Expiry & Renewal. Certificates are grouped as overdue, critical (7 days or less), warning (30 days or less), upcoming (90 days or less) and active. The client is emailed 90, 60, 30, 7 and 1 days before expiry.

How to run the recertification

Switching keeps the checklist and every evidence file, and returns each clause to the client to answer again.

  1. Open the client’s project and click Switch to Renewal, or click Start Renewal on a new project.
  2. The project follows Evidence Collection, Validation, Cert. Ready and Completed. The client answers each clause yes, with evidence, or not applicable.
  3. Review the evidence in Validation exactly as in an internal audit.

How to record the new expiry date

  1. In Expiry & Renewal, an admin or finance manager clicks Renew on the certificate.
  2. Enter the next due date and click Confirm Renewal. The client’s expiry date and the tracker update.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a renewal have no “no” answer?

The client is already certified, so a renewal collects fresh evidence for controls that exist. A clause is either evidenced or not applicable.
