Run the internal audit and issue the Internal Audit Report

How to review the evidence

1. Open the project and select the Internal Audit phase. Clauses waiting for you are under Pending Review.
2. Open each piece of evidence and click Accept to mark the clause compliant, or Reject to send it to Implementation as a gap.
3. Clauses the client claimed as not applicable can be confirmed here too, and a clause can be returned to the client to answer again.
4. The conformance figure counts the applicable clauses that are compliant.

How to write and issue the report

1. Click Generate Internal Audit Report, then Create the draft. A draft you started earlier opens from Continue report draft.
2. Work through the five steps: Engagement, Scope & criteria, Findings, Narrative and Distribution. Facts already in the project are filled in, and everything saves as you type.
3. In Findings, each nonconformity or observation gets its cause, consequence, corrective action, owner and target date.
4. Preview the PDF at any time. When nothing is missing, click Issue report. The report is numbered, frozen and published to the client’s portal.
5. Click Send to client to email it. It is never sent automatically.

How the project reaches Cert. Ready

When every applicable clause is compliant and the report is issued, the project moves to Cert. Ready, ready for the certification body’s audit.
