To give a client their portal, click Grant Access on the client’s page or in Client Portal Access. The contact receives a welcome email and signs in with a one-time link, with no password. The portal carries your name, logo and colours from Settings → Branding.
How to grant portal access
Marking a lead WON grants access for you, when the lead has an email address.
- Open the client from Clients, or open Client Portal Access and select the client.
- In Portal Access, click Grant Access.
- Access goes to the client’s decision-maker contact, else the client’s email address, else another contact with an email address.
- The contact receives a welcome email. To stop a contact’s access later, click Disable portal access.
What the client sees
- A sign-in page with your logo, name, colour and tagline. They enter their email and receive a one-time sign-in link.
- A short tour the first time they sign in.
- Dashboard, Projects, Documents, Invoices and Messages, for their own organisation only.
- Their gap-analysis checklist, the moment you start one on their project.
Frequently asked questions
Can one client see another client’s work?
No. A portal user reaches only their own organisation’s projects, documents and invoices.
Is there a guide I can send to my clients?
Yes. The client guide to the portal explains each page in their words.
